- hydroformed chainstay
Cody's chainstays are hydroformed - it is rare for steel but possible. Hydroforming is used to obtain optimal shape and profile. Cody's tubes are hydroformed in such a way that they form a partially profile of the triangle, are fitted to the wheel and linked at the BB, creating a coherent element of yoke. Chainstay is formed in a process of the injection of hot liquid under extreme pressure that pushes it to the shape of the mold.
